it was my 2nd day at the clinic today!! Pretty ok la...
Basically, i've learnt how to operate the cashier, dispense and write the labels for the medicine, find records and prepare them for consultation, record and account for the dispensed medicine, fill up the medicine bottles, mix and fill up cream bottles, conduct urine test, ... ... hahaa... quite boring sometimes coz there are periods with no patients. But I can read book and play sudoku. HAHA.
ToDAY!! There was this interesting case.... THIS BOY CAME IN WITH A HOOK FROM A FISH BAIT PIERCED IN HIS HAND!! WHOAAA i HAD to watch that...
Yin Ee: "The hook has this (dunno what weird shape), so i cannot juz pull the hook out. I'll have to make this incision to get the hook out, so i wont aggrivate the other soft tissue"
Boy: "HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA............." *sweatdrop and alot of emotion*
Yin Ee: "Ha HAA! u scared ar? Your hands so cold..."
Boy: "Er no la...the alcohol..."
Yin Ee: " You always go fishing? "
Boy: " Er no, this is my first time"
Yin Ee: " HUH??? first time fishing and its causing you so much pain. I think you wont dare to fish next time..."
Boy : " .... .. hehehe..."
So the whole procedure consisted of 2 initial anasthesia jabs to his palm near the PIERCING, then an INCISION near the piercing with lotsa blood flowing, finally a stitch to seal the cut. and the stitching part quite interesting... she tied a knot so skillfully by just turning the KIAPKIAP-y thing round n round and under and wadever, and WHALA!!! a Knot!
So i'm quite lucky! YEAH... But i sound quite sadistic. HAHA...
I'm getting accustomed to reading Yin Ee's messy handwriting, and remembering where some medicine is, and what do some medicine do... like, dimenate for giddiness, buscopan for stomach pains, Dhalumag for bloatedness. cimetidine for gastric. Noten for highbloodPressure, blablablablalablablabla. AHAHA.. especially took note of the front few coz i always get stomach flu and these are the few i always have ta take.
Today's the day when ppl will start accepting their Uni offers. I'm still waiting to see if i get into medicine. Well, waitwaitwait... patient.
