IBCF charity boat race 2006!
Today was a great day! Playing Lame games while it was raining, mingling around with seniors n teammates, LOTS OF PHOTO TAKING! Eating and laughing, singing and playing my harmonica. What a day without worries.
Sat30 Sept: 500m races. The race was ok... the first race we came in 4/5. OOPS. oh well. it was our VERY FIRST RACE!!! As the seniors call it, its our VIRGIN RACE. haha. the term sounds funny though. .... .... And the thing is, once we came on back to shore, walking to our tents, it started to rain. So THANK GOODNESS it didnt rain while we were racing! We were damn lucky. or perhaps blessed? Hmm. The 2nd race was posponed till a later time due to rain... so we had lotsa time to slack n REALLY PLAY in between. But the race (the GRAND FINALS.) oh man. consisted of 6 teams. We had a GREAT start (well, better than what we ever did so far)! 30 hard pulls and awhile of maintenance. We were doing well and were quite ahead. but SUDDENLY. Boat from lane3 looked as if it was coming towards our lane. No. it was REALLY comin towards us! ARGHH NOT AGAIN!?!? in the end. we lunga-ed. SHEESH. NOO it was not enough. that boat continued to swerve and go into lane 5. it hit the other boat too. so there were we... 3 teams were out juz like that. DARNN....
But this means a day of not studying and not practicing for my performance on wed. AGH. i feel so badd.. shit.
Still. Thankful for this GREAT day! Looking forward to tomorrow! 200m race, here we come! =)
